In the Evo 9 when you assign switches is it a global setting or does it affect the active model only? It looks like in the manual that you can have the same switch do different things for different models. But when I assign a switch it is the same for all models. Is there anyway around this?
Thanks,Kevin

It's global to each template (i.e. power, glider, etc.) - so models with similar flight characteristics all have the same feature. For example, I assign the left side button to throttle on all my electric sailplanes, so once I modified the template, it's there every time I assign a new Glider type model..

Forgot to add - then of course, the switch will only have any effect if that control is assigned to either a channel, or enabled as part of a mix.

In the Royal Evo there are such things as Templates and Assignment Lists. When you create a new model you choose a suitable pre-defined Template to minimize your setup work. After that you can change every setting in your model. Your changes don't affect Templates. The Template gives you just a suitable starting point.
Assignment Lists define what the sticks, sliders and switches do. There are a total of 5 different Assignment Lists in Royal Evo. Three of them are pre-defined and named by the manufacturer. You can freely name the rest 2. You can change the assignments in all the Assignments Lists. The changes affect all the models using the Assignment List you change.
In every Template there is a (presumably) suitable Assignment List chosen for you.
Template: BASIC, Assignment List: POWER
Template: ACRO, Assignment List: POWER
Template: HOTLINER, Assignment List: POWER
Template: DELTA, Assignment List: POWER
Template: GLIDER, Assignment List: GLIDER+
Template: 4-Flaps, Assignment List: GLIDER+
Template: HELImech, Assignment List: HELI
Template: HELIccpm, Assignment List: HELI
If the chosen Assignment List does'n suit you, you can choose another for your model. You can make an Assignment List named "OFS" and use it.
