Hi, my name is tim and I live in the uk.I am a new member and I am hoping some one out there can give me some help and advise.I recently bought a skymaster r/c plane off ebay uk the plane is made in china by Fei Ma Toys. The plane does not fly just nose dives from hand launch as if it is too nose heavy.Other ebayers have the same problem after the have tried to fly this model. They have all left bad feedbacks all reporting it is nose heavy!!.The plane is a airliner and is powered by two ducted fan electric units and powered by a 9.6v Ni-MH battery .The length is 830 mm, wingspan is 1250mm.I have tried running with the plane on full power but it nose dives every time.Has any one any ideas, maybe the CG is out it shows in the manual be approx. half of wing chord. Thanks Tim.

Tim, I'm sorry to tell You your're not the only ones w/ this kind of problem. I have a skymaster exactly like Yours.
It simply won't fly regardless the CG position you set. Just because these EDFs are underpowered. It weights more than 1 pound but the total thrust is just 180g, accroding to my experimental measurements.
Each of its EDF units weight 42g w/ stock brushed motors. Their eficciency is even worse than GWS EDFs.
Mine is on my warehouse, waiting for some power system replacement, some day. Besides that, it's extremely hard to control such size of model w/ diferential thrust and, therefore, no roll control (ailerons).
It looks like Fei Ma is still making victims worldwide... I don't recommend their products to anybody.
Regards from Brazil,
Fabio

Thanks Fabio, there is a vidio clip on the ebayers selling site that shows the skymaster flying!!! Total Rip off!! .Robbe do a version with 1200mm wingspan with two 400 size prop pusher motors I was thinking along the same lines and increasing the batts to 12v so there are 4 motors on it. Tim.

Try to see if you can fit a lipo batt in there one of the smaller 3 cell 11.1v should get a bit more RPMs out of thoses motors.
