Anyone else having a stuttering problem with Phoenix?

I noticed a slight tick, or hesitation, in the engine noise and video while flying. Now it has gotten worse to the point where my cursor doesn't even track smoothly. It worked fine initially now it's getting progressively worse.

My friend said he noticed the same slight hesitation on one field, then it would stop on another. I've tried going through all the different updates... i, h, j...and tried all the System Settings options. Anti-aliasing, Vertical Sync, etc...

Now it's unplayable it's so bad. It can't be my video card or the computer since it worked fine initially. The computer also runs Halo flawlessly which is a pretty demanding game.

Any ideas? I just did a reinstall which did nothing. :(

I did have this but haven't had it lately. It seemed to be model-specific and was particularly noticeable on the T-Rex 450.

Haven't had this problem myself. But, since you say this problem has developed over time and gotten worse, it must be something to do with your computer, since obviously sim models don't wear out and start flying worse. :) Stuttering like that would be caused by something competing with the sim for your computer's resources. It could be another program running in the background, a disk going bad, or something similar.

Now my cursor tracks smoothly. But the slight stuttering is still there.

Well, apparently my graphics card doesn't like Anti-Aliasing. Turning that off helped quite a bit, but there's still a little glitch which is probably just my computer.

Anyone else max out their processor while playing Phoenix? I've got a P4 3 GHz.

Phoenix customer service was very helpful and FAST!

Yup, on my Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4 Ghz CPU, it shows Phoenix at near 100% when it's running. This is with all of the quality settings turned up to max. Also, my laptop batteries run down MUCH faster when running Phoenix, as in 20 minutes v.s. 3.5 hours of normal use. I assume it'd be the same with running any CPU-intensive task.
