Can you install and run FS One on Windows Vista. I have only one computer which is Vista and I was thinking of picking this up, yet I want to make sure it will work. Any suggestions ??
Thanks in advance

Yes, FS One works with Vista. Be sure you system meets minimum specifications, however.
If you encounter problems with your installation, contact Hangar 9 via telephone to get help.

I did have trouble installing the FS One on Windows Vista. Usually, instillation only takes about 45 minutes on Windows XP...however, on Windows Vista, after 2 hours, the first disc hasn't even completed half way. My system specs are...
• AMD Athlon XP 2400+ (2.00 Ghz, and I know it sucks)
• 1280 MB RAM
• nVidia GeForce 7600GT with 632 MB of VRAM.
All of my other games run perfectly fine, and I'm sure the FS One would, if I could only get it installed. Any suggestions?

I installed FSone on my Vista Premium machine a weekend ago.
Specs are:
Pentium E4300 Core 2 Duo
2gb 667 Memmory
Geforce 7300gt
Installation took aproximately 3-3.5 hours. Don't ask why. I think there is a security layer in Vista that dramatically slows the transfer of each invidiual fine.
Despite the long install time the program runs flawless. I get over 100fps in most situations and loading in and out of flying takes usually less than 7 seconds.
Hope that helps.

I actually did notice that many files take much longer to transfer, delete, copy, etc than that of Windows XP. Sometimes, only 5 MB will take as long as 30 seconds to transfer/delete/copy etc., in Windows XP, it's instantaneous up to 15 MB. I don't understand it, but...what can you do?

Yeah, well, Vista is actually far better than I thought it would be, and it would be wonderful if it weren't for all the security garbage and compatibility issues. I hate compatibility issues and yeah, it has some weird quirks with installing some things although I'm not so sure its related to security... cause a lot of things install FAST like you would expect them to. However, one game (Gears of War) takes 30 minutes to an HOUR to install!! Ridiculas!!
However, I'm off topic a bit.... I really just wanted to ask about FS One working on Vista. I mean, are you sure it does? I keep seeing "vista and FS one, no go" but are they just incompetent computer illiterate people, (most likely) or are there really compatibility problems?
I have Nvidia 7000 class video card and 3Gb RAM and whatnot, plays compatible video games just fine. I know the system can handle it but just wondering about compatibility.... wouldn't want to be out a hundred if I found it wouldn't work.

It does work with Vista. Many people are running it that way.
