We are looking for a couple of engineer/programmers with UAV experience. We are a fast growing company and need talent to keep up the growth. Really, we have 3 jobs:

Job 1: Embedded systems engineer with controls background
Write avionics firmware and assist in the development of control laws and state estimation techniques. This individual would also participate in the integration of the Kestrel autopilot into customer airframes and oversee flight testing.

Responsibilities:
- Microcontroller experience
- Sensor selection and integration experience.
- Solid C++/ C skills
- Good Communicator verbally and written
- Experience developing and implementing control laws (PID or better)
- Hands on experience with robotics or UAVs a huge +
- RC airplane experience also desired
- Experience with state estimation

JOB 2 - Windows Programmer:
General purpose programmer with solid C++ / C experience. Applicant will write ground control software and video processing applications.

Responsibilities:
- General purpose GUI programing
- Win32 MFC necessary
- WxWidgets, VB, DirectX desired
- Solid C++/C abilities
- Good communication skills
- Ability to take on projects and self manage
- Programming knowledge in Linux environment (a plus)
- Prior experience with user interface application desired

Job 3: Project manager to manage the above....

Interesting jobs. I don't think I could get the wife to transfer though. Need a remote development office in Northern California? :)

I'm guessing you know or are with the guys from Bringham Young Univ.? I saw them at the AUVSI '07 competition with that same autopilot, good system. I thought they had created it themselves, but I could be wrong.

I'm guessing you know or are with the guys from Bringham Young Univ.? I saw them at the AUVSI '07 competition with that same autopilot, good system. I thought they had created it themselves, but I could be wrong.


We are all BYU grads. We developed it as a masters project and then spun off a company. The AUVSI team in 06 did a good job, I am not sure how 07 turned out.
