Hi,

For Yule this past year I was given a Tower Vista glider. I was a bit dismissive of this ARF but went ahead and assembled it which was quite easy and took perhaps 3 hours.

Today we had a heat wave (50F) and calm wind, for an hour I flew OLY 650 then decided to maiden flight the Vista. To my surprise this is quite an acceptable glider, 3 flights, all over 20 minutes, no bad habits except for a slight liking of tip stall. Slow flight but give it a touch of down and it moves well. Quite a bargain for $50 US.

Nice flying this time of year, 20+ hours of sunlight. Normally I fly alone but today I had two companions.

Best wishes,
-Kristjan

50 F is a heat wave? I'd be freezing at that temperature! We have 98 F today in Las Vegas. And of course, that is measured in the shade, not in direct sunlight! Beautiful flying field and "friends" you have!

Good lift,

Rick

That flying field is absolutely gorgeous! Are you sure you didn't airbrush that? Simply beautiful land.

I see me some slopes in the background.......hmmm.....

2 degrees of washout will cure that tip-stall problem.
