i am using a strimmer engine the strimmer is made by McCulloch so i
think everything i do to it will be new as ive not heard of anyone
using this type before, but while i was in b&q the other day i noticed
they have started selling homelite stimmers for 68GBP i always thought
they were only sold in the usa so this may be a new thing. but to get
to my point they were also selling one made by ryobi and guess what
they were identical it was the same engine. so that got me thinking how
many different engines are in use maybe under the cowling of my
McCulloch it could be a the same engine as used in a homlite. anyone
got any idea about this

Ryobi took over homelite which is why the engines are the same.

If you go to http://www.eellspdx.com/mcculloch.html you will see a few
items for McCulloch engines. Quite a few people have used them over the
years. Doug
