Hi guys. I'm looking for a model barge kit to go with my Southampton, something quite large though (60inches would be perfect). Just wanted to know if you guys know of one or not. Alternatively, some plans for building one would be great aswell. I'm looking for one that's quite modern-looking, and would be ideal for model containers on for example.
Thanks.

I seem to recall some pictures of a neat scratch-built barge floating around here somewhere. The barge utilized a clever little water ballast compartment to make it "heavier". I'll look tonight and see if I can find it. The pictures were pretty clear and gave enough information that you could probably design and build your own.

I think Dumas is the only company that actually produces a kit.
You get a pair of barges in the box. :)

I figure your eyes are bigger than your boat. If I can figure out how to get my Southhampton to get a bit more rudder authority am looking to put a 48 inch 50 lb on the front. So far all my barges are scratch built as there is a dearth of kits out there.
