My 28" ROPANACH tug that I have been running for about two years :) was haveing a power problem, after running for about 10 min. it would start to loose power, as though the battery was being drained, but when I tested the battery, witch is 12v. it mettered out at 11.85v. So I thought I was haveing a motor problem, :( I changed out the motor with another 400 charged the battery and it still lost power, I had a 550, installed that, the problem :censored: still there, replaced the 550 with the the first 400, then I replaced the ProBoat ESC. The problem is gone. just thought I would shear what had happen.
hope it helps some one

Did you run the set up each time you turned on the boat.
That was seemed to be the last solution that came up regarding Proboat ESC.

umi, dunno about Ropanach, but mine is self setting, if i turn the boat on with the throttle all the way up or down, the rx gets power but esc does not "arm", when that happens, boat off centre stick and turn back on

Ghost 2501: Yes that's the one, It's name is Riptide and it will allso work on 12v. but only out puts 6v. so say's the spec. sheet
Umi:
yes I do, but I would have full throttle for a short time then it would slowly get slower, and it doe's not get hot that was the why behined changing out motors, thought they were loseing a bearing or something.
To all:
I found that the ESC was only out putting 3.8v. at full throttle and 2.8v. in full reverce. after it had bench tested for about 10 min. and it still did not get hot? But it started out running at 6v. out forward 5.4 in reverce.
