View Full Version : Discussion 7 days till launch

That's right folks...I've been very busy with baby stuff and packing the house. So far no one wants to buy a move in condition home in Nor Cal. Hmmm
Anyhow, just 7 more days until the launch of my little baby girl. The yard supervisor (mom) can't wait. We have a nice little crib (bassinet) all set to go and all the supplies that any small nursery or hospital would carry. I wonder if I can use the milk pump as a vacuum bagger afterwards? Anyhow just keeping those who wonder up to date. Pictures after the launch will be posted. I hear the new one needs to be fueled every 2 to 3 hours during the first 2 months. Something about changing the rear end after every fueling also..Hmmm...i didn't know the differential would be that bad. Who needs sleep anyhow? :p

WONDERFUL to hear from you Boatfox... :)
Glad everything is going to plan with the new addition to the 'fleet'..
Look out for the fuel that can be rejected from the filler too..
Please keep us up to date with 'events' as they happen!

remove the skeg from that bassinet and now it becomes a rocking boat... er horse, yah that's it. ;)
Also, watch out for nausious fumes as the fuel supply gets upgraded. Might have to find a damper for the warning horn after awhile before it becomes an all out siren. ;)
wwwaaaaaahhhhh, wwwaaahhhh, wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ( translation: hungry, feed e now before there is trouble!) :p

Nice to hear from you two to become three. Yes, all of the above suggestions are true as we are in Pt. Richmond with our new grandson born last Sunday. Nobody has mentioned the sound generator as it can go off at any time but the whole experience is exciting. Best wishes to you both and for a successful launching. We will be in the Bay area for about a week. JerryJ.

Well, after rereading the above comments I see Keith did mention it but it does need to be repeated. Our grandson does not like diaper changing but the feeding is just fine. Looking forward to hearing about your experiences. Jerry J.

Huray...she's here....
Final trim is 7 lbs. 13 ozs. (although she was dropping ballast on the way out)
Length 19 1/2"
Launched at 13:04 pacific.
Even though we have the technology...the docs still can't figure it all out. Audrey was in the bath too long, but is doing great now that she has room to stretch out. we figure that we where at week 41 or 42 when the docs though 39......ho hum. Enjoy the pics...need to get an hour of sleep in before I go back to hospital. Everything and everyone is doing great.

Congratulations!
Looks very mature for a new born. Baby born over in the valley was named Delta Dawn after the visiting whales. Press decided it wasn't news worthy. Thank Gawd! Mike

Day 4....lack of sleep catching up in a hurry...
Trust me it gets worse, I've done it three times. Some how you just suck it up and go on. Get back with me in 2 weeks and I'll have her sleeping thru the night for you. :D

What a cuttie, must take after her mother.
:p HEY! I resemble that remark ;)
1st boat...hmmm Not sure yet. I figure I have at least 3 years before she'll have enough concentration for doing boat stuff.....any earlier and
Boatfox, "Here is your transmitter honey. Can you say T-R-A-N-S-M-I-T-T-E-R?"
Audrey grabs Tx, tastes the control knob...tosses it in the lake...runs away giggleling.
Boatfox, "Oh boy"

I can't believe it's been 6 months already, how time flies. Until you have kids, the statement "they grow up sooo fast" is so true.
A cutie! :)
