This is my third response to your basic question, and the answer is still basically the same: Vac-u-tug; Aquacraft ATLANTIC; Graupner SOUTHAMPTON.

Some questions about your old dual electric outboard.
1. How old is it? It may not be worth the effort of trying to refurbish the model for you intended use as a retrieval boat. The two outboards will be a BIG hazard for trailing a towline - it is twice as likely that you'll foul a prop with the towline; then you'll have 2 boats to rescue.
2. What size is the prop shaft? Probably 3 mm or 1/8" (3.2mm); these are two of the standard sizes, and it makes it easier to replace the props.
3. What is the diameter & pitch of the props? You may or may not be able to get a new prop with the same diameter and pitch as the original props, which means replace both props. Depending on the size of the prop, the price starts around $10.
4. Are you looking to control each motor indepently with two speed controls? You can do this with a two channel radio by using differential (tank style) steering - but this increases the chance of fouling a prop with the towline. It would be better to have both motors wired to one speed control and use a separate servo for steering.

One last question - where are you located at? There might be a club in the area that can help.

First, contact the Three Rivers Model Boat Club (http://www.geocities.com/scaleboatclub/), they sail at several locations around Ft Wayne. Terry Beeler, Jerry Mendenhall, and the rest of the club have a lot of expereince with rc boats.

Second, I want to see you at the 2007 Great Lakes Scale Model Boat Show & Regatta (http://www.ssmana.org/images/2007_REGATTA_POSTER.pdf), which will be held at the WWII Victory Museum in Auburn. That's my model of USCGC TAMAROA (WMEC 166) inthe center of the poster. The TAMAROA wuill be there again this year, along with PCE 875 (http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=569007&page=4&highlight=USS+WHITEHALL) (Dumas USS WHITEHALL kit), the Batboat (http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=526112&page=2&highlight=lake+report), and the TJ S-100 (http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=652094&highlight=S+100) I'm working on. Be sure to bring your camera, and a pen and notebook. You'll see too much stuff to try and remember it all in your head, better to take pictures and write notes, names, phone numbers, etc.
