:D Okay...I'll go lower....please just take it!
FOR SALE 125.00.00 SHIPPED IN THE CONUS
For a rebuild, for parts, you decide.
This is a DELL 8600 I bought from DELL 3 years ago.
http://www.chuckandjenna.com/rcsale/dell1.jpg http://www.chuckandjenna.com/rcsale/dell2.jpg
It has (all DELL components):
1/2 a gig of RAM
Wireless g card
64mb GPX card
DVD R/W
1394 (firewire) port
2 USB 2.0 ports
72WR 6486 LION Battery (2 years old)
Stock Power Supply/Charger
Mother Board
Network Card/PCMC slot
Sound Card on Mother board
1.2 GHZ Pentium M Processor
NOTES:
The LCD is screen is pretty much 'toast' ....and it began to fail 2 weeks after my warranty ended...so I just went ahead and bought a new notebook as I did NOT want to pay to have the system diagnosed to see if it was the monitor or something else...but in my own testing of plugging the monitor into a new notebook...it appreared to me (I am no tech) that the monitor was the issue.
When I plug a flatscreen or SVGA into the notebooks backside port, the computer could be used just fine....so again...leading me to believe it is the LCD and not the 8600's video card.
I removed the hard-drive and installed it in the NEW notebook (so it does not come with the Hard Drive).
I removed the cooling fan (so it comes with NO cooling fan).
This has been sitting in a box...and then the other day I was talking to someone who said that apprently there is a 'parts market' for Dell notebooks....
Just powered it up and the lights come on...monitor does does not...and when I hooked a flat screen up to the monitor output...it showed me the DELL logo...so that leads me to believe the monitor card is fine...and that the LCD display is toast.
This unit is being sold 'as is' for parts or repair (whichever you choose).
PM for payment options.
All my best,
