Hey we are not finished for the season yet.
Capital Area Soaring Association (CASA) is hosting the following aerotow. I am forwarding this so all you die hards can get the word.

From Tom Pack:
CASA is proud to announce the FIRST ANUAL FALL AERO-TOW! The weekend
of November 9th-10th. This event will take place at Frank Thompson's
Horsefeathers Aerodrome, Hurleyville, (SE of Warrenton) Virginia. The same
great field that the CASA Memorial Contest is held.
Pre-Registration Is Requested (by 4 Nov). Since this is our first
aerotow we would appreciate your help here so we can get a head count of how
many pilots we can expect. There will be a $10 entry fee per pilot that
covers the whole weekend. Registrars: Tom Pack, (804) 746-8857;
tkpack@cavtel.net Skip Schow, (703) 573-7242; raschow@aol.com
Vintage and Modern Scale Sailplanes are welcome. We have 3- tugs lined
up for the event but if you have a tug and wish to help out with towing, by
all means let us know.

This event will be a EMS International Scale Gliders Gold Medal Flying
Competition. (optional)

We made it. We flew in the lovely rolling hills of VA. This event was held on a private grass airfield (closed). Couldn't have asked for a better field. Great people, great day! Looking forward to the spring to come back down and fly again.

Yes we had the event and a good time was had by all.....the only complaint was that this time of year the sun goes down at 5:00 PM! We need to give a big thanks to both Ben Diss and Frank Stickle for all the tows that they provided us with......everyone had as many tows as they wanted....We are looking at next April to do it again.....We'll keep you posted as to the actual date. One last thing....who the heck is Bert? I don't know anyone by that name......I think it's best to leave the annocements about a event being on or off up to the people who are orginizing the event! Someone might have read that post and decided not to come.....and they would have missed out on a great close out to the aero-tow scale season.........

I corrected my post as soon as I found out the event was on. I miss read a private post to me which said the event *might* be off ... I missed the *might* ... my mistake.

I am Bert Magin the CASA coordinator for the next 2 years.

I'm Tom Pack, one of the event orginizers......my screen name is SZD16.....after a 1/3rd scale project that I'm working on right now. Skip, Antonio, and myself did email back and forth before the event about weather it would be held or not due to weather and snipper issues but all those emails where between the orginizers for the purpose of orginizing!
