Hi all,
The following is the met service weekend forecast for June 2-4
Sat 2 Early rain, followed by a few showers from late morning.Northerly winds, strong in exposed places, turning gusty westerly.
Sun 3 Showers clearing and becoming fine. Southeasterlies developing.
Mon 4 Cloud increasing and showers developing. Westerlies developing and becoming strong.
Slope soaring look good for the weekend, if we can dodge the rain drops.
Looks like Shannon will be the go, although Lu's should be working.
I will be heading to Shannon to try and finish test flying the bomber and maybe Pegasus.
The bomber required some adjustments after last sundays session (too much weight)
Hope to see you there.
Regards Dave.

Hi Robert,
The site in the avatar is Shannon, if you have a look at www.activegear.co.nz under manawatu slope soarers, flying sites, you will see where it is.
This also could be the site for the WW2 day.

Sat 23 Occasional showers north of Levin squally at times, fine intervals further south but a few showers also possible at times.Cold, with snow on the ranges above 700 metres. Westerly gales, gusting 100 km/h in exposed places.
Sun 24 North of Levin, some showers and fine spells with strong cold westerlies, gale in exposed places. Further south, fine, apart from variable high cloud. Cold with fresh northwesterlies.
Well sloping looks like it is for the diw hards that have high performance machines and shares in a lead factory.
I think it is a good weekend end for the war hanger, but if I decided to brave the conditions (maybe Sunday)I will let you know.
