If you look at their website, there are illustrated and detailed instructions on how to put one together. :)

In fact, I've never seen a better set of how-to's anywhere---. ;)

It looks like Eddie the chimp could do it---. :D

As I've heard somewhere, if you can get the right shoe on the right foot at least half the time, you can build a 'Vac-U-Boat' with no trouble. Not as big an exaggeration as you might think...

I just finished my Vac-u-tug and am waiting to get out to "maiden" it. Although I am very experienced in building rc airplanes, this was my first boat, and it uses some different techniques.

Of any kits i've ever built, this is the most complete kit I have ever seen! All parts were high quality and the fit of parts was good. I was particularly impressed by the hardware which uses nice brass bushings. Even clamps for joining the hull are included! And if you follow the instructions step by step, I think pretty much anyone could build one.

The only tricky part is is joining the top to the bottom, but do as the instructions say and practice you will have not problem. One mod I suggest is to screw the rear hatch down tight instead of the velcro as my tests in the bath tub showed that any rough water would go over the top. That being said, the design is very good, because the main access hatch is the roof gives lots of water clearance.

I'll post some pictures once I get it out on the water, but unfortunately this wont be for a few weeks.

If you choose to get one, I don't think you will regret it. While not the most scale, this looks like ones of those boats you keep around forever because it very functional and fun.

Good Luck,
Dave

I have one of these little boats and I love it. I went into the build with alot of modeling experience under my belt but very little boat building experience. My Vac-U-Tug is my most reliable boat, Kate Massey has never given me any problems what so ever and I had her built in a few hours. Phil makes a great kit and also a great set of instructions I highly recommend them, follow what he says and you cant go wrong. Also if you do need help you know you have friends here that are more than willing to give you a hand.
