Hi Jim,
Need some help on your ordering system.....
I tried to order the combo set on Monday, but there are problems with your system, I got the following error "There are no methods available for your shipping destination." I thought this is only with my country only (Hong Kong), I tested with all other countries, all got the same error except USA.
I emailed your company and got a disappointed reply with "Your address is referenced via USPS's computer and it is determined if a package can be sent or not. Apparently, there is no service offered by USPS to your destination".
I used to buy from US and shipped via USPS before, I don't believe this is the cause of the error. Can you help on this?
Thanks
Tony

If USPS says that there is no method of delivery, then they truly have no method of delivery to your particular location. However, I will investigate this further to see why you (and a few others) are reporting this same problem.

Hi Jim,
I think you can easily simulate the same problem when you select country other than USA, even Japan or UK is not working......... Please help so that I can got this ASAP.
Thanks for your prompt response....

Jim, it's obvious that you broke something recently on your web shop, because I was able to order my combo when I put in my order on 21 April 2007. I am order #698 and my location is Hong Kong.

Also Jim can you advise on if it is best to remove the metal handle on the JR9303 / MX22 radio as it is very close to aerial.

Ok, the problem is with the USPS postage rate change. Nothing international now works. I don't know how long this will take to get resolved.

Does that mean we will have to go through distributors that are set up in Europe and not be able to buy directly from you? That will put $ up!
If you are announcing international distributors as soon as next week is that why the order online page will not accept orders from overseas?

There is a problem with USPS's integration with overseas orders. We are working to resolve this issue. This has nothing to do with our overseas distributor.

Hello Jim!
I sent an email to the salesdept some days ago but got no reply. I still dont know what happened to my order (#542), the XPS status says "shipped on the 12th of may", but the USPS tracking info says " was electronically notified by the shipper on May 12, 2007 to expect your package for mailing", they say in email they have not got the package.
I read that customers in the UK and Australia have recieved their orders, which would indicate it should be my turn soon? Can you please provide me with some new information? I dearly want to install my Xtreme Link in my heli, but tomorrow its a full month since ordering/ paying, without any good news...
Has the package left the building? If not, when will it leave XPS? Or has it been returned from the customs? (should be no problems, since the value is just below the toll free limit in Denmark). I do understand that if the package has get stucked at USPS you dont know more, but to be able to adress USPS correctly, i do need to know if the package has left XPS in the first place.
Thank you.

I t appears to be something wrong with USPS.
I purchased a item from eBay last night that shipped via USPS.
After completing the transaction and fill in the delivery details
it came up with Australia unknown destination even though it
was in the list of countries on the USPS drop down menu.
Then another error on closing sorry USPS does not ship to your location.
Strange since XPS i received via USPS this week.

For those of you that live outside the US you should know that USPS (our Postal Service) really hosed up about everything with new postage rates and policies that went into effect last Monday.
It wasn't just a "rate hike" but changes in a lot of shipping categories, eliminating some, adding some and generally messing up about everything with international shipments, including new forms for customs.
On top of that even most postal employees at the post office don't understend the new rates and policies.
Many on line sites are having major problems, including eBay.

yeah, been hearing that from a lot of places. bummer since global priority has always been the easiest and cheapest for just about everything i order from overseas.

USPS have their maps updated, but their tracking system needs some keen attention, it still shows "was electronically informed to expect...". Thanx for your patience Jim, and im sorry for being such an annoying customer... :-)

Quote: "We have shipped the product to you. The USPS confirmation number is correct, and will NOT be updated by USPS until you receive the package. This is NOT a tracking number."
For those of you overseas who HAVE actually received your stuff, does the USPS website actually update the status to received or delivered after you've gotten yours?
tgo, I only received the confirmation number from USPS which when entered into the USPS website just states that USPS is expecting a package from the shipper, not that the package has been shipped.. Here's what BP Hobbies does (good guys, BTW):
"Small packages weighing less than a pound will ship Airmail Letter Post at a fixed rate of $6.00USD. Packages 1-4 pounds, less than 24" long, with max volume length (length+width+height) < 36" will ship using Global Priority Mail at a fixed rate of $16.00USD. Big packages and packages greater than 4 pounds will ship Airmail Parcel Post at a fixed rate of $16.00USD. Our fixed shipping rates are limited to 12 pounds per order. For orders totaling $125.00USD or greater you will receive a $6.00USD discount on S/H. Shipping usually takes 5-7 days."
Maybe USPS is waiting on some new plastic? ;)

I just sent this to sales as an email because to ship on the 22nd when ordered on the 6th isn't normally OK with me. You gotta do better than that in the future or nobody will be buying. Feel free to delete this after you read it JD. I just want to be sure you are/were aware of 16 days for shipping to occur, and only after I inquired with email!
"
I see it says shipped for #882 after I sent an email inquiry. Is there some sort of explanation for the time from May 6 to May 22 no activity?
I fortunately bought another combo off a fellow Canadian which he brought from Toledo, but if I didn't have that I would be so frustrated.
He shipped within a day of my Paypal and I received it in 3 days. Surely, as a business you will improve this. I have never waited that long for something to ship, unless it was clearly a backorder that I was made aware of.
I just mention this because you will be having unsatisfied customers if that continues."

Since it's been at least 2 weeks since it supposedly shipped, I'm getting less and less optimistic about receiving it before you... :( USPS/HK Post is usually quite reliable, which is why I didn't opt for EMS since I know that shipping will only take place at least 10 days after I order, so why bother to pay for quick shipping if I have to wait for an additional 2 weeks anyway.

does someone have already ordered from Europe ?
I was wondering if it's possible for XPS to do some things to avoid taxes, like writing "Toys" on the carton, and don't put a correct amount on the invoice (or no invoice at all) ...
And to be sure, is it USPS used for the international shipping ?

I don't understand this... I haven't received an EMS number yet... ordered on the 6th. Yet an order to HK on the 22nd has already received his EMS number. Something is screwy here. Jim can you please verify that order 853 was sent vie EMS to Australia?
Looks like you received your order today! :)

Sorry I wasn't sure about the legality of what I asked. I took advices from friends because I've never ordered abroad Europe, and they said that many shops in US or Asia use to do what I ask. Never mind ;)

Jim, i didnt get an invoice with my package, only a customs declaration. Is that valid as an invoice in case of warranty/ update issues?

Jim,
I would check tracking, but as I have repeatedly asked, I was not issued with a tracking number...
So what is the tracking number?

hi gregw,
just received this afternoon ... just bind and test them, so far so good. Have to wait until this weekend for field test.
Order #1272, ordered on 22 May, received on 28 May.....
Nothing yet...

Hi gregw,
Just installed to my R50 and do all the basic setup, so far everything is working fine. Have to wait until Sunday and test it at TKO. Will you come and see it?

Looks like your system is starting to work. Ordered two receivers on 5/19, shipped on 5/22, and got them today. Too bad the post office can't come up with a tracking system. Thanks Jim, and all working fine so far. Bob

v1.021 and v1.031 are our RF module firmware revisions, which have nothing to do with the revisions of the receiver or transmitter firmware.
The latest units having the external antenna should be using v1.4 or later manuals.
