Kit bashing bipes to monoplanes

I was just wondering...has anyone done any kit bashing and changed a biplane into a monoplane...or parasol?

I have plans for a SE 5a and Sopwith 1 1/2 Strutter and thought...for fun...to get them to fly with just one wing.

Maybe just get a monoplane wing and stick the preferred fuselage on it.

Anyone done something like this?

If the c.g. is positioned properly for the single wing, there's no reason this won't work.
