Well, I thought I'd throw out this thread to discuss how we make our models for the simulator. Talk about everything, upload the multi-view of your model and experiment. :)
Anybody here that is interested, and you just don't know where to start? Hey, you make the 3 view, I'll make the model. :D

So far, so good. :) I've spent probably two hours on it so far, I'm more than half way there.
Because it's a traditional model, it's very easy to make. My first was a little too complex.
BTW, for future models (to all), make sure you take photos from as far away as you can to reduce the effects of lensing, keep things centered, and so on. So far, this was a very good 3 view. Having multiple views helps a lot.

Here's a guide for making models in XTR: (English)

Might want to download the whole website to a folder, it might disappear.
Late Update: I almost have the model finished. I have a little debugging to do, and it should be ready for posting. Landing gear problems need fixing, then I need to fix some weird bug with the rudder. Then it should be working great.

BTW, the resolution may appear to be low. When in the game, you will not notice this. It is actually on par or exceeding the resolution of the other models. In a sample model, the image is only 512 x 512. This one is 1016 x 1016 for all the views on one image. (imperative that models are in a square bitmap. Compress/reduce the image complexity if possible please!) When I am done, I will upload the 3-view, the project file for future editing, and the ready to fly model.

The model is done. I did a little tweaking, it will need some more to be better. Breaking out a ruler and inputing the actual numbers will do best. Moving a few of the points around in the stinger.mop file, and re-exporting should fix up the plane, make it look better with minor improvements. The model still has a problem with the right wheel going into the ground more than it should... I know there's a fix, someone will find it.
I will upload the files to rapidshare as you did for the 3-view.
Here it is:

Amazingly, 3.5mb compressed to around 850kb... must be because of the data format. Anyway, I tested the link, it works.
I am ready to accept new requests to make a model. :)

Hey, I found a fix for the model, I imprived it a bit. The right wheel no longer protrudes into the ground, and the model is no longer super-reflective. I may have tweaked the flight characteristics a bit. Here are some new files, delete the old matching files and replace with these:
