Blueprints for a Mooney M20C

An old friend of mine is selling his plane. (Real plane, not RC) He has owned this plane for a long time and he hates to let it go. It has alot of sentimental value to him and I would REALLY like to try to make a scale replica of this plane. I have searched the internet for DAYS and I cannot seem to find any model sheets, plans, or blueprints of this plane. If anyone can help me find some plans for a Mooney M20C... please let me know. Thanks!

Check out Aerotech Models, they do a 20K-1 which could probably be backdated to a C. I own their plans for the Porsche Mooney and can vouch for the scale fidelity of his plans From what I can tell and remember the C has a slightly different cowl shape as well as different rear side windows.
At $40 for the plans its really a steal considering most designers are charging much more. He also sells cowls, pre-formed windows and even scale landing gear. His web site can be found HERE (http://www.aerotechmodels.com/MOONEY.htm)

Now thats a beautiful plane, wish my daughter was older and I would probably entertain the notion to buy it. I have always been a big fan of Mooneys and have probably close to 1000 hours in several different models.

Before your friend sells his Mooney, ask him to loan you the operators's manual of it...In there you will find a basic 3-view of the Mooney and you can get a photocopy of it...A Kinko's type print shop can enlarge it to your needs.....
If not, PM me with your mailing address and I will send you a print of the 3 view..

JerryHall: Good idea.
Check this out... I actually found a free 3D model of the Mooney M20C online. Do you guys know of anyone who can take this 3D model and cut the shapes out of foam for me?
