AWSOME,.... only word to describe it. I was home when the Big Brown Truck pulled up, and the guy struggled to get this thing out of the truck!

I have another small project on the table right now (52") but then this one will be up on the table and cookin along. Goal is to have everything built and detailed for a maiden next spring. There's some huge blocks of balsa in there!

Top Flite Arrow, 81" Wingspan, 61+" long, 1089 sq in. wing Area... Full flying stabilizer.

This will be my first IMAA size plane, but I've been building for 15 yrs, so it will be so much fun. I love the way my TF Gold Edition Corsair flies on an AXI, so this will probably get similar treatment.

I'm going to model it as a fixed gear Piper Archer, after a buddies real one that I flew in a few weeks ago. That will save some money in the retracts. I'll make wheelpants for her, and we'll be good to go.

Once I get more underway, I'll post an official build thread,... just had to share some images.

Oh,.. and what do you do with a huge box,.. and two 2 1/2 year olds? A TRAIN!

Priceless :)

Rob,Welcome to the world of Giant Scale!!!Your gonna love the big planes.Watch out though as they are addictive!Great idea for the shipping box.You might want to think about buying an interior door blank from Home Depot or Lowes as they are around 80" long by 24-32" wide and make building large models a lot easier.I've been useing them for over 35 yrs and they are usually very close to being square and flat in all directions. You can buy a 4x8 sheet of sound board and screw it to the door blank trimmed to size and this is perfect for pinning parts down and can be replaced with a new sheet when needed in a few mins.

Down in the workshop I have a 48" x 96" main building table with good lighting, and then an adjacent 20" x 60" countertop where I typically do my electronic work or painting for the details/cockpit.

Stepping up from 36-48" wingspans to my TF Corsair, 65" and 9lbs, was an awsome experience and I love the way bigger models fly and handle. This should be great too.

Rob,
Good to see you & Cooper are into "full build" models.
There are some decent motors out there nowadays for very good prices.

Reminds me of when a big cardboard box and imagination was the best toy in the world. :)
