I just uploaded pictures of full size tugboats and working boats. These were all taken in front of Ports of Call Village in San Pedro, California.

I went to the Ports o' Call restaurant right there for a free Sunday Brunch one time.... it was delicious! :D
Always is a fun bridge to drive over as well! Nice pictures!

Great photos with plenty of subjects to choose from. Partial to the Millineum Dawn as it was one of the last 105' tractors built at Marco in Seattle for Harley Marine. The shipyard closed a couple of years ago now.

Yeah that is one good looking tug. I took a bunch of that one while she was at the fuel dock.
Now who can point me in to the right direction for building this bad boy. http://flickr.com/photos/93834819@N00/312527098/in/set-72157594307870609/

I believe Umi Ryuzuki, a member here (and everywhere else there is a model boat to be found) is building this exact fireboat. I'm sure she will be able to help point you in the right direction.
