Hi , has anyone tried making a tuned pipe using the tuned pipe designer
from the home page of this site??????
If so do you think it would suit around 26cc make gas engines. As it
say upto 14.6cc at top of page.
I'm going to try hydroforming. any ideas or links would be
good cheers jr

Hay man
You are probly better off doing a search for 'java pipe' its a little
programe that you load all the parameters of your engine (exhaust port
area, max revs ect.) and it gives you the exact diamentions and
patterns for building the pipe in a cad format. These pipes are a bit
of a black art but if you do your research right they are possable to
build. I am running a 30" hull with a Homie 25 in it. With the hull
being so short I built a custom pipe so it wouldn't stick way out the
back but still give me good low down torque and a good top end. Still
playing round with the fine tuning but works well so far. I also have
some articles from the old Shark Racing web site that might be helpful
if you are interested.
Cheers
