Hi there
I am having issues getting out of a spiral dive...
I fly a zagi esque wing , every time I try and do a roll I get about half way through and then the plane goes nose down in a spiral till impact.....
any ideas on how to correct this before I run out of sky ? :)
Thanks

When rolling, try giving the plane a little "down" elevator just as it rolls inverted to keep the nose UP. Might want to try a little more altitude, too, before resuming your practice....

Sounds like you are stalling. Before you start the roll, ensure that you have more speed than you have before. Then give a little bit of up elevator (about 10-15 degrees) and then start the roll. Then, as Craig says, a little bit of down elevator. Always start at least 3 mistakes high.

Thank guys , I can definately see the issue with the up elevator , will give this a go on fms :)
But , how do I get out of the flat spin ? Is it kind of a prevention is better than cure type of thing ?
do the roll properly and you won't get the spin , or is there a way of correct the dive ?
Thanks

I am certainly no expert on this, but I believe that the way to get out of a spiral dive is to turn your aileron stick in the opposite way with some throttle to get the airspeed and control back.

It is the same on MOST planes. Neutralize all controls, add power and if necessary a little nose down. Wait for airspeed to build and level off.
Zagi's can sometimes end up tail heavy... check your CG. This can lead to nonrecoverable spins.
