dose anyone know whet prop i should put on a 540 motor for a hovercraft thats about a4 size that weighs about 1lb

for lift, propulsion, or both?

Plus it depends what voltage you're running it on. Something around 8x4 would be typical (on 7 or 7 Nixx cells or 2S Lipo).

Not for lift. Wants a gearbox and a really big fan on there.

Yep. you need pressure not speed. Big broard blades running slow.
