Hi,
can any one give me the part no. of the voltage regulator used on the castle creations pixie 7 controller.
thanks!
P.S. Can i replace it with the LM1117-5.0 regulator from national.this controller has a drop out voltage of 1.2V ,is it ok??

I made several ESCs with LM1117-5.0 and worked OK.
Is the regulator of Pixie burned out?

yes due to excessive current draw the regulator on the esc got reallllly hot and stopped working.I tried to read the part no. myself but it is not clearly visible.

In this case it is better to check the circuit (you can use a 4 cell battery pack on receiver) to verify if it still works.
Most times the voltage regulator burns out it let the battery voltage to come to the microcontroller.
As the microcontroller is designed to work up to 5.5V, this burns out too if voltage got over 6V.

Always a bit annoying how uC's will pop and frazzle like that :( I've fried numerous Atmel AVR's accidently when I wasn't being pedantic with my PSU ... always scarey at first, you see that ghostly magic whisp of white... then hear the CRACK :(

Fortunately the esc is still working...I just need to replace the voltage regulator.
