Worth enlarging Majestic spoilers?

Folks -

I'm considering enlarging the stock spoilers on my Majestic (in both length and width, total area increase of about 30%). Has anyone done this before and if so, do they feel it was worth it (i.e., increased performance)? Any insights appreciated.

Well, I just bought one off a guy who had made them somewhat larger and moved them back, too. He says it works well, but I haven't flown it yet and I'm not familiar enough with the aircraft to be able to tell. I don't know if other designers have gone that way, but Mark Drela puts his spoilers fairly far back. I think it's to get them where the boundary layer is thicker so that if there's a bump it's not as big a deal.
