I have been chasing thermals with the ever popular Easyglider for a little under a year. I am hoping to locate something a bit more scale with close to the same thermal ability. I have a feeling it might be a stretch as the Easyglider seems capable of catching lift almost effortlessly..

When I say affordable - I'm thinking in the $300 range. I had a look at the Hobby Lobby DG1000 - but have doubts that it will thermal even half as well...

Any suggestions??

You're right! There are plenty of good TD gliders about, just check the sites - BoT and its dirivates etc. MPX have just imported the Cularis into the UK. I understand its already available in the US. Its a 'grown-up' Easy at 2.5M. Seems to be collecting as wide a fan club as the original. I've seen only one and it thermalled very well. This was the non-electric version. In the UK if you put a power plant on the front you aint trying!
