Hi ppl.
I'm new to this forum. Currently, I am working to make a quadrotor-UAV as a B. Tech Final Year project.
Let me first mention the details of the Q-UAV(Quadrotor UAV so that u can help)
Type:
Quadrotor UAV with cross-base and four propellers at the end of the blade.
Pitch/Roll/Yaw/Height control:
I have made an electrical circuit for pitch, roll, yaw and height control by varying four resistances. For making it automatic controlled, tilt sensor will be implemented.
Test bed:
I have devised a test bed which will be able to test the aircraft's four DOF(pitch, roll, yaw and height) separately or in any other combination.
Motor used:
I do not have much details about the motor. But its supposed to be 17000 rpm motor(i haven't tested myself) and it weighs around 180 grams.
QUAV frame:
I have planned to use a thin and hollow aluminium pipe(used in curtain holder) for the QUAV frame(body). And its light!
Battery:
Not yet decided. I suppose the motors will be sinking high current in Amperes. So i'm still not sure about the battery... since they should be light enuf too.
Tilt Sensing:
Will be using ST Microelectronics tilt sensor.
Space co-ordinate locator:
This is to continuously let the QUAV know about its current co-ordinate in space. But the bad news is, I haven't yet thought of how to do it! Any ideas?? guys!!!??
Propellor:
Studied a lot regarding propeller... Building one seems much complicated. But still i'm taking the risk. I'm making one in fact! Wish me luck. CNC Milling machine doesn't seem to be quite available around my place... so will be trying with light wood(from cricket bat; they seem to be the most proper)
I gotta finish this project as soon as possible now. So hope to get ur prompt response. If u like, u can reach me online:
