I would like to see a topic forum for glow powered planes, yes i know that this is a e- powered site but i think that most of us e flyers have not gone 100% e powered. I've tried some other sites that have "glow" forums but i feel that this site is the best. Also i think that the advertisers would benefit from this addition as well. Maybe the glow powered subjects could be lumped into one forum to minimize its impact on the site as a whole.

Sorry but that is completely illogical IMHO.
The sign above the door when you walk in says ezone so the ezone it should be.
I fly both glow and electric and do not think that they are mutually exclusive by any means but this site fills a niche. Far better to do this one thing superlatively than to join the ranks of the other sites in trying to cover everything and falling down. This site IS the best because it concentrates on what it does the best and is not diverted from that niche.
Take a look at any of the other sites and see the importance put on e-flight there. Have a look at the level of eflight related posting activity- very low indeed in most cases that I've seen. That is because most of the knowlegable e-fliers are over here on the ezone.
For glow discussion it is more appropriate to go somewhere like RCO or Flightline. These undoubtedly have a very different atmosphere than the ezone and fill a different niche.

I have been accused of taking people too seriously, so I will ask before I write a five-page dissertation rebutting your proposal.
Are you kidding?

Oh boy... Bronco, you're still loved here, but that post cost you brownie points! http://www.ezonemag.com/disc/eek.gif
First, I of course agree that NO internal combustion powered plane forum should be here. This IS the ezone. But what I found funny was the mention that "...but i think that most of us e flyers have not gone 100% e powered..." I think the interesting statistic would be, how many of us have never been anything BUT electric powered. I know I'm electric, will stay electric, and will never be anything but electric. However, the other thing bronco said which I must agree with was, "...tried some other sites that have "glow" forums but i feel that this site is the best..." This of course is VERY true. The ezone rules!
I don't shun IC power. It does have an advantage, however the "costs" are to high for me (messy, smelly, LOUD!, restricted, etc). I think IC has it's years numbered, but won't go into that here. I can say this, because I belong to a primarily IC club.
*But I'm working on them (and we just had a joint electric/IC fly-in), maybe they will come around soon. http://www.ezonemag.com/disc/wink.gif Especially if the new neighbors start to complain about noise and the site goes at risk for relocation. http://www.ezonemag.com/disc/frown.gif

Obviously, I still disagree with you though.
After all, this is the E Zone. :)

I still want to try the snake and pygmy pie though.

Before you go getting all smug, remember that many whose ideas were considered "ahead of their time" had to die before their ideas were given any credence. ;)
