WPS' Waypoint.exe Compatibility

Waypoint.exe works great here in the workshop on a Win98 machine but it crashes when run on my (newish) WinXP laptop. Are there any switches or flags I need to set?

Waypoint.exe was developed on XP, so should work. What is the nature of the crash? Anyone else experience crashes?

Does your laptop have bluetooth?

Thanks. I have Bluetooth but it is turned off. Below are the error message and error report.

I've had problems with other applications with the bluetooth enabled laptops. Apparently it installs dozens of virtual serial ports for the bluetooth connections, overrunning my serial port list. I never expected to exceed 50 serial ports :rolleyes:

I've just uploaded version 1.4 of waypoint.exe to the webpage:

Wow... Thanks for the update. Version 1.4 works on my laptop... Looks like Bluetooth was it because I now see 60 COM ports! I have that feature turned off but those ports still show up. Great non-customer, beta tester service MX !!! :rolleyes: :D ;)
