If you want an aileron ship, build something different..

A BD with ailerons would be something different.
You may even want to think about making the wing a dihedral instead of a poly. Don't know to what degree you'd want to make the angle but why not?

If you really feel the need for ailerons just send me your Bubble Dancer and I'll send you a Supra.

Wow Rob! That sounds like a tempting offer if only I had a BD. too bad mine is only a lowly Ava.

Andre -
It could certainly be made to work, but if you want/need ailerons then the Supra is what a Bubble Dancer turns into. Go for it.

I already have an Ava as well. It's a great plane. But a properly built Bubble Dancer would be better. :)

Roughly six degrees.
Look to the dihedral plan of the Supra for proper guidance.
Why not try it? You might want to run the numbers via Sailplane Calc or your favorite tool to see if the rudder or stab need a tweak in size while you are at it.
I think if you were to shoot for the same range as the Supra, you'd be in the right ballpark.

André,
Definitely document your build on this. I think lots of folks would be interested in seeing how it works out for you.
While you are at it, post a picture of your recently completed Allegro! Everyone likes pictures. I'm a big fan of the Allegro Lite myself, it is a great plane to fly and mine goes lots of places....
If you wanted an idea of peformance on your "full house" BD, you might see if you can talk to folks that have this:
http://www.isthmusmodels.com/product_info.php?cPath=21_27&products_id=112
I think it is based on the RES version of the Soprano, which of course shares some roots with the Bubble Dancer (although it is not as Bubble Dancer like as say the Ava).
Folks may suggest you build a Supra (and they have). That of course I think would be the way to go over a "full house" BD. That said, if wing bagging is not your cup of tea and you like the Allegro/BD construction method (and you of course know full well how that works) then I say go for it and let us know how it turned out!

Hey Ryan!
Your posts helped me in my Allegro-ELite building!
Thanx a lot!
If I really build the full house BD i'll try to proceed a building discussion.
Last saturday a friend took some nice pics and I'll post it soon!
Hapy landings!

The Bubble Dancer build really is a lot like the Allegro build (I used to have one before it was lost due to a battery failure). It just takes a bit longer and of course being a bigger glider the materials cost more.
If you do ailerons, you might as well do flaps too (4 servos in the wing). I am just starting to fly a 4 servo wing plane and have been really enjoying it.
I know if you built such a Bubble Dancer, that people would be interested in seeing how it worked out for you.
I suspect that the tail setup on the BD will be fine for a full house version. This is based on guys flying Aegea wings on Ava fuselages.
