Several of us are building Drela bagged Supras. I have my own fuselage molds for Bubble Dancers which incorporate the Bubble Dancer boom with a slipover fit. My understanding is that Dr. Drela designed the supra with a heavier boom to accommodate the increased torque load which would result from configuring the vertical tail entirely above the boom (to accomodate his interpretation of F3J rules) as opposed to the Bubble Dancer's somewhat balanced vertical tail which is partially below the boom.

My question is : Would a stock Bubble Dancer boom be suitable for use in non-F3J use if incorporated with a vertical tail which extended (pretty much like the BD) below the boom?

You say you don't plan to F3J fly it. You have winched your Bubble Dancers hard, right? And guys commonly flew/fly a Phil Barnes Aegea wing on an Ava fuselage. Those are data points that you could use in your decision.
