Is anybody using one of these to keep an eye on their projects??

Or is there an easier way. Just for position reports I am thinking of using a tiny track3 and sound card packet.

Just in case the bird buys the farm I'll be able to take the rubbish sack to the scene of the crime.

Struck me that the extra information that the Seagull Pro sends might be worth having.

I have one in a large sailplane, but have mostly used the variometer so far. It's very nice for this purpose because it gives an audible tone that goes up in pitch when the model is climbing and the opposite when descending. I hardly ever look at it except when very high in a thermal just to see how high I am getting. I don't have the GPS unit so can not comment on that feature. Also, have never connected it to a pitot tube but understand that it is very accurate regarding air speed.

The thing I don't like about it is the price of sensors. $140.00 for the cheapest current sensor is ridiculous. For motor current I use their Micro Power recorder. Works great and is only 1/2 the price of the pro sensor.
