There was lots of action today. There was one pretty good mid-air and I turned my camera off right before it happened. Look for videos in the next day or two but for now more pictures...

it ain't fair! It ain't fair!!! All of you having all that fun in Nashville and I am up here in Northern MI, paitently waiting for the ice to melt and to be able to fly outdoors without gloves.

I really do like the images, I am sure that everyone had a great time by the pictures that are on the different posts.

Had I been in Ohio at the other house, I may have been able to drive down to enjoy the fun, but tht was not to be.

With all the smiles on all the faces, it looks like a good time was had by all.

Wish I had been there!!

The Sea Fury had a minor incident on takeoff (it WAS windy after all), and hadn't flown again by the time I left at noon. I didn't see an SU-27 there other than my scratchbuilt that I flew early in the morning. They did have a Mirage but I didn't see it fly. I heard something about a smoked ESC but I didn't get the details.

Hey I'm famous! Great pics Billy.

It is a foam wing killer! It tore the last plane in the second row at the start of this thread in half in a mid-air and kept on going.

As conehead said it is a KMP Challenger II converted to electric. This plane makes such a good conversion, it comes out light and flies beautifully. Hobby Lobby will be carrying this model shortly.

Really glad that so many friends came out to fly even though the weather did not really cooperate.

About the Sea Fury, it is from Graupner and despite my little incident first thing in the morning (my fault, not the planes), it is a great flier. Both Jason and I flew it the previous weekend (under much nicer conditions) and were really impressed with how powerfully it performed. Takes off quickly and with the split flaps it lands at a reasonable speed. I will have more info soon.

I want to thank Jim T for all the photos and for hosting this thread, good job!

Thanks Mike,
The Kondor Model Products "KMP Challenger II 80" is a beauty with an 80" wingspan.
Here's their fuel version web data:

Looks very similar to the Hobby Lobby "RCC004 RICCS "Busy Bee" Brushless RTF Pusher Plane", which is a complete Ready To Fly foamie 44" wingspan.

Thanks for the information,

That looks like a giant scale version of the full-scale Challenger ultralight which is made in Illinois, perhaps in Moline or Quincy, I can't remember where exactly.
The full scale is a good, rugged and inexpensive ultralight with a long-wing and short wing option. The long-wing has been used as a moorglider, the Rotax engine is turned off and they thermal it.
