I had a great flight today. It went for over 9 1/2 minutes! The only problem was, after the 6 minute mark, I was not in control!

I had the Park Hawk going in nice wide climbing circles. I had decided it was time to bring it back in for a landing when I realized that no matter what I did with the sticks, the PH just kept doing the nice circles. Problem here is it was also moving North away from the field.

I managed to run across the field, through the woods, on the one path, to a clearing in the middle. I so feared the bird coming down in the trees. This is jungle down here, with snakes, aligators, and all. We actually pay someone $75 to go in and recover aircraft for us, and it is worth every penny! Well, when I got to the clearing I saw the bird circling lower and it actually landed in the clearing. My lucky day!

I do not know why I lost control. When I first entered the clearing, I still had no control. Once it was on the ground however all channels worked fine. A later range test was fine as well. Needless to say, before I do demo flights tomorrow, I am changing my reciever.
