Trick is finding a cooperative owner of a commercial rig- Shop Vacs and heat guns won't do the job! Barely does the job on little stuff. But seems like it would be easy enough...

The 1/72nd scale combat schnell boats were vacuformed.
But those were only 20 inches long at best.
Bob Cozart had an oven heating element, and a vacuume head with a foot
pedal actuator. When he pushed that foot pedal, there was "fwoosh", and
anything he had under the plastic was all but encapsulated.

I puttered around with vacforming several years ago, using a homebuilt frame to hold the plastic, the kitchen oven and a shop vac. ;)

Results were so-so for little stuff, using thin plastic, but nothing I'd write home about. :(
