hey i know this is DIY but i need a bit of help i have an LRP AI ESC and one of the solder lines on the board has a broken spot in it.. ive fixed it for now with a lil dot of solder over the cracked spot "more like slightly burnt" but idk if its gonna hold this is the second time ive soldered it.. the first time i smoothed it down nicely and it immediately burnt through again

my question is.. could i jump over the burnt line with a small wire if it does it again.. ? essentially bypassing the bad spot.. the line its on is a direct line no breakoffs towards anything else

i know i dont punctuate very well i hope there isnt much issue reading this id really like to hear from some ppl with a bit more experience on this sorta thing

im new to the diy stuff.. just started building my own power supplies and such

thanks much

and it immediately burnt through again
That might be an indication that there is something else broken on the board.

Hi Turbo,

I agree with Cirip that a "burnt" repair (or did the spot "burn" because of the repair?) might be an indication of some malfunction.

A more direct answer to your question about using a wire as a bridge for a PCB trace: Sure, that is a common technique. This plus a wealth of other extremely helpful techniqes can be found here:

Best of luck troubleshooting your ESC,
