Field Status;

We haven't been able to make any headway with the Calif Coastal Comm, but we are putting in for moving over about 1/4 mi to the East in order to have more room.

We will also have a water truck if the weekend is dry & will have the spectators park at the boat ramp & walk over to the flying field.

No picture yet, but maybe soon.

Thanks for the update. 1/4 mile east puts you closer to SeaWorld I guess. Is this a permanent move for your club?

Looking forward to pictures.

GENTLEMEN, START YOUR MOTORS!

We've just received permission to extend our runway by 150 ft to the East, Away from Sea World.

Work should be done by the end of next week, and includes, clearing, leveling, smoothing and packing the clay topsoil so the surface will be nearly equal to a paved runway.

This will allow much more room for cars to park behind the pits, and a really longer runway.

The old runway was 400ft long by 60 wide, we'll now have almost 600 long!!

Please send in your PRE-REGISTRATION FORMS AND ORDER TEE SHIRTS NOW SO AS NOT TO BE LEFT OUT!

WE'RE THINKING OF CUTTING OFF AT 150 PILOTS!!!

We've also received permission to lock the gate and have/make visitors park over at the Boat Ramp parking lot and walk to the flight area. If you like to walk, don't bother with PRE-Registration, just try to do it at the field!

PS, weather looks good so far.

That is fabulous news! Now you have a first class field to go with a first class event. Time to roll in the giant scale planes!

See you there!
