G'day fellow enthusiast's. I am about to embark on my first UAV project after doing a bit of research over the past few months. Now, I do not have an eleontronics back ground however I do have a son studing electronic engineering so he is to be my life jacket. I would like to build my own guidance system just because I can. I would appreciate the opinion of other enthusiast's and adivce of a system that would be appropriate for my humble beginnings. I have been around RC for many years and have a fair bit of time flying the big stuff , but i do have a facination for UAV's and potential.

My advice, dont reinvent the wheel, Ive seen others try and fail to develop their own system they get frusrated and quit understandibly, there are setups that can be bought and work very well, you spend less time with code and more time with actually enjoying "not" flying your platform!:D

Totally agree with you, Mike. I don't make my own nuts and bolts, either!
