I have a sonic view 18" LCD TV that only lights up for about 1 second when it's turned on , then goes black. The power light remains green. The model is N1800.
From what little I have read on this it would seem to be the back light inverter board is the problem.
My question is... Has anyone ever had any luck repairing these boards and is there a common component that is often responsible for the board not working. I know I can buy a new one for $80.00, still I intend to attempt to repair this one and I am looking for a starting point. Any experience you can pass along would be appreciated. Also how many back lights would this set have? would one burnt out bulb cause the screen to shut down after 1 second?
Thanks.
