Hi guys,
I’m looking for OSD system for video piloting; I know that this is the UAV section and not “video piloting” but the guys in the FPV are not so in to the technology (and $)
I read up the threads in the forum and it looks like the Inspire+ Geko 201 is close to what I’m looking for  . TheInspire (http://www.dpcav.com/inspire/inspire.htm) .
The significant points for me are (please comment on that too):

• Displayed GPS altitude
• GPS Waypoint bearing and steering to get home
• Displays main buttery voltage
• Displays main buttery current drain, I don’t like the shunt method, inductive measurement is preferred
• Ground referenced speed
• Tachometer
• Displays radio system voltage.
• R/C signal problems
• Are you using/having deferent info on board that you find it useful?

I like to hear guys with first hand experience, I have a lot of stuff that I collect during the time and when you get it and integrate it to the plane you get something “deferent…”.

Thanks
Itzik

I am using the Inspire Board. It works very well. The only difficult part is interfacing it with a reciever so that you can see the signal strength as seen by the Rx. This is by no means a problem with the board, but more just a difficulty because of the close proximty of the legs on the chip on the reciever that contains the RSSI data.

Thanks Dave,
Don’t you see a problem with the “shunt method”? Eagletree are using inductive measurement and I preferred to work like that.
Do you measure air speed? Is it a problem not to having this data?
Can you elaborate on how connect the receiver to get the RSSI data? Which legs Kerry the signal?
Thanks,
Itzik
