interesting. it may be a while before these fuel cells catch up with LiPoly though (for RC use, that is). i wonder how many watts a typical laptop uses. a desktop uses around 200-250W, not including the monitor. laptops are optimized for low power consumption, so the power requirements will be much lower than a desktop. maybe 200W total, including the screen. that might be enough to fly some types of planes, depending on how heavy/bulky a 200W fuel cell is. very interesting.

Typical laptops are 30-50 watts.

Typical laptop batteries nowadays are rated somewhere from 25Wh (watt-hours) to around 50Wh. They are usually around 14.8V (4 cells) which is stepped down to the 1.6V (or less), 3.3V and various other voltages in the system.

I have been keeping an eye on this for a while. We will have to come up with a different name though. They can't be glo plane, or truly electric. How bout fuelies?:)
