Hi Guys
Havent been around here for a while, ive still got my lst2
http://users.on.net/~annecarl/IMG_4724.jpg only mods ive done is the
new era roll bar cause i always run it without the shell its been a
great truck so far. :) its a lil muddy in the pic i took it to a
construction site a week after a heap of rain still puddles
everywhere, all the piles of dirt which are excellent jumps with soft
dirt for bad landings had turned into thick grass so all i could do
was drive it around on the flats which got pretty boring very quickly.
Ill be upgrading to rpm arms all round and an sts .30 when ive got
some spare money im sick of snapping the plastic ones
thought i'd say hi.... Hi :)

Happy you're enjoying it dude, LST2s seem to only get praise. I'd from
personal experience though, really, strongly, recommend against an STS .30.
Spend the extra on an decent brand, it's worth it for the hassle and
irritation an el-cheapo engine can cause. Think, OS .30 etc IMHO...

I havent heard anything bad about the sts .30
I think i remember one of your posts where you had heaps of problems
with it, did you remove the extra head shims? aparently they come with
like 4 shims, after run in your suppost to remove them or the engine
runs like crap.
They receive alot of good comments on lstforums, ill look into other
motors tho maybe a pico .28

Well, reviews of the .28 are quite mixed I find, a lot of people liked them,
but quite a few people also highlight the cheap build quality - but then you
do really get what you pay for with engines IME.

I'm the same haven't been on here for a long time, been busy changing jobs
and getting back into racing. Mainly 1/10 EP 2WD truck.
Got a question for you. How does the motor run in the hot temps with the
top of the head/heatsink sideways? See this photo and the one above:

ive also got myself an rc heli, 2 actually they are heaps of fun. my
first was a piccoo z cheap remake, whole heli weighs 10 grams its an
inside flyer only. my other is an esky lama v3 its a coaxial mini heli
its small enough to fly inside can also fly outside but it doesnt take
much breeze to disturb it.

yeh i noticed that after assembly it didnt make any difference its
only the little fins on the top that are facing the wrong way rest is
ok. I havent really driven it that much since i pulled the engine
apart cleaned it up maybe 5 complete tanks.
Has anyone used an o-ring as a header gasket instead of the proper
ones? i ripped 2 of them, then i found an oring that fitted perfectly
i dont appear to have lost any performace and it now wont break.
