Let's do a test

Since there seems to be very mixed reports as to UH's performance, I've decided to do a test.

I'll be placing three orders with UH tomorrow and I'll post a daily update to these forums, showing the status of the orders.

This should allow all to see how long it takes and how reliable their warehouse, picking, shipping, customer notification systems are.

Are you talking about Instock Items or OUt of Stock Items?

How about a UH glossary? Here are my first entries:

"In stock" - Item might, or might not, be in stock by the time we get around to packing it.

"We will respond to you as soon as possible" - We'll get back to you if, and when, we feel like it... or not.

"I have refunded your payment" - I may refund your payment at some point in the future.

The fact that there are such mixed reports about their service strongly suggests that all the stuff you mention is not reliable. Sometimes it works, sometimes not -- to me that's the definition of unreliable.

You must have a lot of patience to order from them again after your last 2 (?) experiences (judging from the "totally pee'd off" thread)... good luck! :)
