Not too fast... or too slow?

Hi All,

Years ago I had a 'Shady-O-Rack' electric pick-up truck that was loads
of fun! It had two speeds but even at the fastest speed it went along
at about walking speed or a little bit faster. At the slower speed it
crawled along over the bumps and grass and it was a blast. It seemed
like it would go for ever on a charge. Sooo, I thought I'd try the
modern day, better quality (although my old one seemed to last forever
untill I sold it in a garage sale...) RC car and I bought a Mini
Quake. This thing looks great and is very good quality! BUT, just not
what I had in mind... too fast for my old reflexes and the battery
lasts about half the time of my old car! In short; just no fun. I just
want something that will go along kinda slow, not tractor like, but
not a race car either. So my question for all of you helpful folks is:
What's out there that's good quality but not a high-speed jet car that
I could just play with out in my backyard or out on the dirt driveway?

Your first option would be to use less trigger with the Mini Quake. It'll
go slower and the batteries will last longer! Second option would be to
grab a computerized radio so you could dial throttle out (aka EPA or
end-point-adjustment) and set it so even at full trigger it wouldn't go all
that fast. The Mini quake is just about the slowest hobby grade electric
out there! If you want slower you might have to head back to radio shack or
even wal-mart.

I did something bad dude... I sold the Savage... I parted the mods out on
eBay. I still have the truck, but the mods went for a total of £250
($500usd give or take) and the truck hasn't finished yet, but is already
well over the £110 mark - I expect around £160, so all in all, a good
contribution towards my new 1:1 car fund hehe :-) I'm thinking about
getting a new Sav X SS towards the summer as well, which made it easier to
let mine go, and I still have the RBvo.

Whoa, , where you going to find a track big enough to drive that on?
That's the biggest RC I've ever heard of. If it was much bigger, you
could ride around on it. .
