What is the general consensus on these? I'm looking at a DX3 on Ebay,
are they really as good as people say? What about the servos? is it
worth the extra $$ to get one that includes servos and are the any
good? Am I correct that one can easily switch from controlling one vec
to another with these, like a switch on the transmitter or something?
Are they really as interfeerence-resistant as people claim? Do they
use up batteries abnormally fast? Thanks, Greg.

The spektrum high torque servo is sold seperately for £25. the racing one a
bit less.

switching models is as easy as pressing the mode switch a few times.

I use nimh and am very bad at forgetting to switch off between races. over
an evening the voltage dropped from 11.1v to 10.6. That's basically left on
for 2 hours. It will work right down to about 9v. Also you get quite a few
options for controlling your car. So its as sophisticated or better than
the ko pro mars 5 s.

Finally as you are on ghz range instead of 27 or 40mhz there is no
interference. even if everyone else in the club has got one. Thats the
main reason i bought one.

Yeh I was looking at that myself, but as usuall its done an E Bay. its
debatable if its actually worth it at =A370 +PnP for just one rec and no
servo's, with the brand new 3.0 version, at the moment, you get an
extra rec, (smashin if ya want to run more than one model off it, like
you sound as if you do), and the servo's one of which is a high torque
version, without pricing them up I'd imagine quality components would
spin out to around =A350 at least, another reciever maybe =A325 - =A335.
I've seen it going for =A3169 the complete bundle, and I've not really
scoured around, though I doubt it will be found for very much less,
(although P+P will probably be free too).
So "Ya pays ya money ya pays ya choice EH".
I dont think theres much difference between vers 3 and 3.0 exept the
layout of the handset, (must say I think the newer one looks much
better).
Thats my take though, as usual to get a good bargain on E Bay takes
work and time, most often folk push the prices up till its a toss up
whether to get it, or buy shiny sponny (guaranteed) new. And sometimes
to crazy prices that can be beat new online!!!!! HA fancy.

2nd hand receivers on their own go for £50. The new version basically has
a moulding redesign to make it more ergonomic, It also has a 4 model memory
instead of 3.
I have seen brand new sets go for £100 + pnp for a single receiver system up
to £155 for one with two. That includes servos. you will want to make
enquiries with this bloke

Hiya Mate.
Brand new single rec sets for =A3100 inc servos WHERE, WHERE, WHERE?????
Checked out both your links and cannot find anything to do whith
spectrum radio gear.
Are you getting mixed up between transmitters, (the handset) and
recievers (in the model)????
BTW, did ya see how much it finally went for? =A3120 nearly with p+p,
surely it was worth another =A350 for the brand new, guaranteed vers
3=2E0, with another rec, and two quality servos? Maybe its just me being
"lavish" with my cash again EH?

rrp on brand new receivers is £75. So it makes sense to spend £155 on the
full dx3.0 system. Unfortunately he didn't start doing it till i'd bought a
2nd hand system with one reciver for £117 including p+p. its my fault for
automatically assuming i was bidding on a 2 receiver system like i had 3
times before.

This guy doesn't have a regular supply of them but if you email an enquiry
i'm sure he can sort you out. He's trying to move his business away from
ebay onto his own shop site. I will be speaking to him in person on friday.

Just bought a brand new dx3, for the normal price ($250 USD) with
servos, free shipping, and a 2nd receiver and all.
