What's the difference between a narrow, normal and wide propeller if they all have the same diameter and pitch? Do they deliver different thrust?

They each perform differently depending on the need -props with narrower chords tend to have better performance at speed.
Think of them as wings - high aspect is usully more efficient (aerodynamically)..

And of course the actual prop speed is important as well as the speed of the plane. Narrow blades are used for high-revving props (higher blade speed) and very wide blades are generally only intended for much low revs (e.g. geared slow flyers).

Ok, it's a very old subject but I don't know what would be my best choice.
So, I have to choose from:

and
- http://ripmax.com/item.asp?itemid=E-LP13040W&selectedtab=120&Category=120-10-15-10-50 - wide prop
I have a OS Max .55 AX, so which one? I'm using the engine on a robbe Diamant No Limit 3D plane.
I'm guessing on the normal one, but an advice from a better pilot than me would be great.
Thank you!
PS. Please excuse my english - I am from Romania.

I'd guess at the wide one for best static thrust, but it will bog the motor down a little more.
Easy answer, Buy both and try?

Yeah, I think I'll try them both...
Thanks!

Try the Optimal Propeller Calculator we recently made. It may help you to find the best prop with your engine: http://personal.osi.hu/fuzesisz/opc_eng/
