Hi everybody
Iīve bought a secondhand Azart-V F3j sailplane (all molded gfk, 2.90m wingspan from Ukraine) and I need the numbers to setup it (CG, movements of the control surfaces,etc.). I appreciate your help. Thank you very much in advance. Gustavo

Not one I am familiar with. Any pictures or links available? 2.90m wingspan is a little small by todays standards.

Brian Wa used to sell these in the UK. PM him to get details.
Search for him under the Members tab.

Hello Wing-Span, yes its wingspan is too short by today standards but the model is rather old (I suppose 1995-1997) and for those days all models where shorter than 3 meter. There is a place who is selling the plane www.top-model.ch , but they did not answer my emails anytime. I sent a PM to Brian Wa and I am waiting your reply now. Thank you for your help.

I had the same issue when I picked up an Azart-T about a year ago. I tracked down Brian Anderson of (or formerly of) FVK Modelle and he wrote this back:
"The AZART is no longer in the FVK range. From memory, the CG was listed at around 95-110mm behind the wing leading edge.
Best regards,
Brian Anderson. "
I will be starting at 95mm and will adjust as necessary. Haven't had a chance to fly mine yet; good luck with yours.

Hi Brian,
can you recall a more specific location for the CG, or is 95-110mm still the approximate range?
Thanks,
Doubletap

What a beautifull plane Doubletap!!! Mine is not so beautifull yet but as my first "complicated" sailplane I donīt want to love it very much...
I will start with 95-100mm CG and then will experiment to find the best setup for my preference.
Best regards
Gustavo

This is the only CG info I have.
Like all models, there is no one fixed CG location or degree of control movement which will suit all pilots.
You need to experiment to find the best CG location and control movements which suit you.
