Does anyone have any good rules of thumb on sizing side force generators?

Basically I made a symetrical wing with alerons for my slowstick. As you can imagine it has almost no side area and almost falls out of the sky trying to knife edge. I'm not expecting any real 3d performance just something alittle more sporty.

Use the TLAR method.

Its not realy critical. Bigger generators just mean more sideforce and more drag. Since they are easy to make, just pick a size that looks good to you and fly it...then go from there.

I agree! Also known as the "Suck it and see" method. Works well for designing models and allowing them to grow off the building board.

oh, I thought TLAR meant trigonometric laser-activated repulsors. I bet some of those would work pretty well for generating side force :p
