As posted by Cosmicpossum (this post prompted by Cosmicpossum..LOL)

There is a nice ASW 28 2.5m kit available from Taiwan on e-bay

http://cgi.ebay.com/ASW-28-2-5m-Scale-Slope-Glider_W0QQitemZ250082767738QQihZ015QQcategoryZ256 3QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I have been in contact with Nomarks by e-mail over the last couple of days and there is no way of getting the kit into Australia....copy of his response below

"I do understand you, and I've actually checked every methods, and sorrily to find that, the parcel dimension limit of Australia is applied to all kinds of shipping methods, including surfing, air parcel, and EMS. So, by the time I can't think of other alternatives...except for carrying this by people...huh huh...

If you know other method, please let me know, thank you very much.

Best regards from Taiwan,
Jamie

Hey roachie,

I just deja-vu.

I got the same reply from him a couple of days ago regarding the same product. Let me know how you go.

The excuse he gives is not valid though. The model has a 2 piece wing so the package will only be just longer than half the span, so around 1.5m long at the most. I had my 5m Ventus model shipped in. That package was 89" (2.25m) long and weighed a ton.

Albert from Aerofever mentioned some months back he will be selling a ASW28 2.5m same mob that release the DG1000. Will be similar to the Multiplex ASW27 2.6m, a fair bit of building with the Multiplex. Ken had one at Camperdown..mine still in the box for a year now :(

Hi Martin...

Aerofever yeah I remember they had it on their site as a coming soon.....might check it out

I'm a bit like you I've become averse to building when the ARF type kits are finished as well or better than I could do.....

I have a Multiplex "Alpha"..ASW17 that I built 15 yrs ago and that was at a time when it was entertaining to sit up late sanding wing ribs.....my eye sight has gone to the dogs so thats not so much fun anymore...LOL"-(

Check your email, Roachie. I'll check into shipping size limits this week and see if we can't figure a way to get you one.
